even if there was one race, we would end up being separated by political/religious/other differences...just because people are the same race, doesn't mean they wouldn't try to overthrow the government and start wars etc. humans are inherently evil >:-o
What vanman said. The first thing that keeps people apart is racism & ignorance. But people of different countries have different beliefs, esp. religion. They also have all kinds of different political beliefs, and bringing us together would not work. Well, I guess that's what Rumpelstilzchen said, huh?

Doubtful. Too many of us are greedy, self-centered, and egocentric. As long as these people exist, they will view others as "prey" (for predation) or hosts (for the parasites, like spammers).
vanman: I disagree. While race is a dividing factor for too many (if it is too different from me, I don't like it), even if that was out of the picture, the push to control finite resources would cause contention, as well as the need that some feel for domination/ego-gratification.
Witness the ultra-wealthy: Too many of them continue to scrabble for more, even when there is no way they could spend what they have. It isn't from need ... it is for the game. And money is how they keep score.
