Yes I suppose. Perhaps it is a lot of money but I do believe the US (budget) spends over 400 billion per year on their military and about 40 billion on space exploration. I guess a government could always have the robots built in Mexico or China! Disposible robots!
People should read Philip K Dick's book called The Penultimate Truth before voting. It involves the vast majority of people living underground, making robot soldiers in the war against some enemy. One man comes above ground to try to get an artificial organ to save a friends life and finds out that the war was fake all along and the robot soldiers were used as slaves for the super rich. Robot soldiers! What a pile of shit!
So Cretin, I guess your vote is NO?
The only aparently legitimate disputes being conducted by humans in a Hyenas vs lions way are by people who have little money. All modern wars by the capitalist states have been pure propaganda stunts so the robots would not be relevant. They would still have to kill the people to plunder the resources etc. because wont just allow thieves to come in otherwise
Since wwII the theory governing our military has been that it is better to spend money than lives. We have plenty of money (not a 'hundred trillion dollars', but plenty) and we don't like to see fellow americans get blown to bits. So yeah, I think it would be a worthwhile investment. In fact, it's already happening with unmanned recon. drones that are now capable of launching attack on their own. It's just a start, but I imagine that line development will continue to some sort of robotic soldier in the not too distant future.
yes we know already that NATO are psychopathic cowards who'll do just that if they were given the chance,Which they wont because they are getting their fuckhead capitalist arses blown off the planet before long
I suppose The Terminator is like a wet dream for you, herZOG.
Not really creTIN. But unlike you, I don't base my opinions about real life on movies, no matter how impressive the special effects.
Governments could use robot soldiers against their own people. Soldiers are nearly robots already. Just imagine a succession of My Lai massacres on home soil. Don't get a stiffy, herzog.
wHAT AN EXCELLENT BALLOT!I would give 5 if I could...)My karma is so low that I'm not allowed to)
Where is the threat of lose of human life. I'll have to go with a General Goerge Patton on this one. You need human sacrifice in war or it will become trivial and meaningless. It would become to easy to attack another nation if there was no threat of lose of life. For that reason i'm against robots and war.
It may seem heartless of me to condemn ppl to die for what might be a useless, worthless war (read Iraq today), but I'd worry about one thing with robotic soldiers. What if they decide to turn against their masters, a la Terminator?
