There are far too many politicians these days getting away with crimes of corruption which in many cases are not to the benefit of the country, but to their own benefit.
Remember these politicians are in service to the country and hold positions of trust and are supposed to be upstanding members of our country.
When you take a look at our people in the Military services and Secret services, you find that they will be charged with Treason when commiting a serious breach of national security.
Politicians and our Military service are both in positions of trust and service to the people and country.
I see no difference between Politicians and the Military or Secret services in violating the trust of the people of whom they serve.

YES
NO
Seize their assets and give them life in jail with hard labour
It's not that easy

COMMENTS:
By the way these votes are going, it would be good if this ballot could send the politicians a Clear Warning of what could happen to them if the people had power returned to them as it rightfully should be.

What a great idea ... any company holds an employee accountable; right now, politicians don't have much accountability beyond impeachments and election losses.

Point is, that's a too delicate matter. It is a constitutional problem. In fact, who decide what is against the interest of the country? This is not implicit. When Mussolini became prime minister in Italy he surely was sure to make the best interest of his country to abolish all parties in the parliament. There are a lot of differences between politicans and soldiers, the second have to obey orders and rules, the first have to obey also to their voters, to ideas, to lobbies. I think twould be enough if they got a trial if suspected of a crime. If you accuse them of something like a Treason, even if they are innocent their political career would be destroyed. And in the worst scenario, a made up accuse of treason could help an unscrupulous leadeship to get rid of political enemies. ...You thinking of somebody that would be glad to do it?
