There are very active and successful people who smoke.
For example i watched a reportage on this american who created and is the owner of a very successful marijuana production society (in the Netherlands).
He smokes joints at work.
Marijuana smoking making you a slacker is a retarded stereotype.
I had a neighbor who was a police officer, he once told me this. He would rather have to deal with some one who was stoned on pot the drunk on alcohol
The drunk would usually be belligerent or fight when being arrested and often he would have to hog tie the guy. With the stoner he could arrest the guy, and put him in the front seat with out handcuffs and the worst he would get would be an ear full of whining. Drunks were often violent but pot-heat would usually be benign.

Im sure it would be peaceful. Although I think Marijuana should be legalised, you have to wonder if people would start getting too lazy, and we wouldnt be as productive as a result.

George Washington was a fond lover of a good marijuana smoke.. he made his slaves grow it you know.
Wanna know why it was banned it 1937? It was going to rise up past dupont's synthetics as most useful multipurpose cash crop, and since you cant patent a plant, no one company could make the maximum amount of profit off cannabis sativa plants. So Dupont and other companies threw $$$$$$ at congress and got it banned. Congress got a Dr. named Gabriel Nahas to alledge false medical testing reports about it, before he died he admitted his tests were totally inaccurate and false. By then Reefer madness and sterotyping potheads was in full motion so almost no one cared.
You would need a democratic senate, house and congress to even have a chance of legalizing it. I mean other substances are 100% proven to be worse and you consume them so regularly its not even funny. Sugar, caffiene, nicotine, ALCOHOL, etc etc.
Oh yeah one joint has a little more cancer causing chemcicals called carcinigens but most people smoked like 25 cigs a day... no one would ever waste that many joints in one day! They would be way to fucking happy, stoned, and high to even need them.
