You've heard of Kermit's nephew Robin, right? In Muppet Babies, Robin was a little tadpole. Don't you find it odd that Kermit was still in diapers, yet somehow, he managed to grow legs and have a nephew? That makes no sense to me, even by cartoon standards.

Gonzo was a bit of a mutt. He was a cross between a tapir and a lemur. Genetically impossible but you must consider that bunsen and beaker are very good with laboratory equipment and they learned this from their parents. Clearly Gonzo is the product of a genetic experiment caried out by bunsen and/or beaker's parents. But yes, tapir+lemur=Gonzo. The blue tint was from a single gene from a fruit bat that they spliced in when they were hopped up on lab fumes.
