Most people had a pet in their childhood that they loved. Some lived with us a long time, dying a natural death but some checked out a bit early for some reason. Do you have the memory of a pet death from your childhood?

Ryan - dog, rabies

A dog dying from rabies is especially hard for a kid to understand because the dog goes from being really nice to really mean quickly and the kid doesn't know why, and then the dog is gone.

i had a pet ant.
Her name was George.
i made a leash with some floss.
While walking in the park one day, a inconsiderate soul stepped on her. It was a simple accident, but that never lessened the pain. Some may think ants are all the same, but i assure you, George was quite special.

My cat Tom was as old as me and lived to be sixteen. He just wandered off in the woods and was never seen again. Same thing happened to my mom's shih tzu - slipped through the fence and was gone. She kicked her boyfriend out
