i dont know how you can justify that. if the conferacy still existed, they would not have been able to touch Europe, because of the almighty Royal Navy. the RN would have anhialated any invasion force before it reached european soil. why do you think the germans never invaded Britain? they couldnt challenge our navy.
and i dont know why you say that the confederacy would have allied with Germany. WWI had nothing to do with Fascism, but was all about a series of defensive alliances within europe , which eventually dragged the whole of europe into a war.
and dont even start with the 'usa saved your arses' crap. Germany were shagged by 1917, and the American contribution, whilst being useful, fresh and enthusiastic soldiers etc, in terms of the whole war it was largely insignificant when compared with the French or British contribution.

As for 1917. I doubt the Germans were all shagged because with using your same tactics of over the top your men were dying by the thousands in going over yards of progress.
No the confederacy's main goals were state rights, slavery was viewed as necesary (and may have been) but with the invention of tractors and such slavery would become more cost than its worth, to sum up they werent racists(many) they just did what was thought necessary. and the Union didnt seek to destroy slavery altogether anyway.
If America did not have the South today, they would probably lose more than half there military. Havent you noticed how many southerners are in the military? America might not be here today if it were not for the south.
Only if the Nazi's attacked america or sided with japan otherwise they'd haveno problem with those evil assholes.

The Northerners were actually worst than the Confederates when it came to slavery.
The steel industry, railroad and mining conglomerates enslaved hundreds of thousands during their building booms. The railroaders were especially brutal to the Chinese and Irish workers. Sick people were left to die and belligerent workers were simply shot by railroad enforcers. Many froze to death during winter contruction because of inadequate shelter.
Most Southern bashers don't know enough about the South and it's history to even slam it properly.
It's easier to take the PC route and ignore the sins of the Union.
Blacks weren't the only slaves during that period.
yeah but the northeners freed the slaves, the southeners didnt and there still a bunch of racist morons (well most of them anyway)

Probably, but they wouldn't have been much help to Hitler. Without constant federal subsidies to the extraction-based industries in the former Confederacy, and the prevailing anti-science and anti-intellectual climate, they would never have been more developed than Mexico.

To a southerner it's a huge sum, not northerners. College tuition and housing is very cheap in the south. Wages are low though. I was amazed to see recently on the news a story about a guy in Atlanta who killed his wife. He lived in a up scale Atlanta suburb in a $225,000. house! You couldn't get a handy man special for that in New York, Boston, DC or the West Coast. Don't you think there are southerners in northern schools? There are plenty of southerners at Harvard. Trust me. You don't want to know what they charge for tutition.

They would have started to exterminate Black Slaves that had outlived their usefulness.
The southern sucession was a failure in itself. The fact that they would have won is absurd. The only reason they got so far is the luck that talented generals loved the states they grew up in.
The Confederacy fought a war against an oppresive centralised government in Washington. I dont see how they would have supported an even more centralised and oppresive government in Berlin.
