And for love. Don't we deceive ourselfs, changing a few moments of happiness, for the nothing plesure gives us? Does plesure really worth it? Or we are too scared to admit our lifes are so empty, that we foul ourselfs in to believing we can find happiness in plesure and that is enough for us? Do we even realise what we deny to ourselfs by doing this exchange?

Fantastic question.

I believe happiness, fleeting and self-serving as it may be, is part of the emotional spectrum of happiness.

There are short-cuts to pleasure, such as taking drugs, drinking, having sex, or eating delicious ice cream - that may fool us into thinking we are happy because we are so wrapped up in that marvelous emotion that we either aren't or don't want to think about our long-term happiness.

Of course, pleasure is natural and intrinsic to our nature. If pleasure didn't exist, our species wouldn't survive!

I was just reading my ballot and I realized I made a mistake. In the first paragraph substitute the word "pleasure" for happiness. Goddamn it.
