Hmmmm... traditional skills like whittling wood and tying knots aren't so highly prized these days. Instead of morse code, it'd be knowing all the latest text messaging shorthand. Instead of pitching a tent, it would be booking into a motel. Instead of martial arts, it would be knowing how to report an OVER-FRIENDLY scout master....
Most Boy Scouts take it up the butt from their troop leaders periodically.
