I would say that the reason black people can say the N word to each other is because a black person saying it to another black person is not offensive. You can't make racist remarks about someone of your own race, it just doesn't work. However, white people say it to be insulting. In fact, some white people who have very close black friends can get away with saying it because the blacks know that no offense is meant. If you use a word to insult someone because of their race however, it is a totally different matter. Like, you might call one of your friends a "dickhead" as a joke, and it wouldn't offend them because they knew you were joking, however, if you went up to an old person and said "you're a dickhead" they might be a bit offended.
Rappers can say it because they are saying it as part of a peice of art. Art is usually less censored because it's meaning can be interpreted in many different ways, and a word can be used in many different ways to express the intentions of the artist. It is also different because once again, black people do not say the N word in order to insult their own race. They say it almost as a show of solidarity. If they say it to each other, it hurts less when some white retard yells it at them. Black people don't make offensive racial slurs against black people, for the same reason you don't against white people, because it would be pointless and stupid.

And maybe I find it offensive when they call each other the "n"word, ever thought of that? You dont have to be the subject of the name calling to be offended by it.
in theory no, but it only applies to whites, everyone else can be as racist as they want. I'm all for political correctness, if only it applied to non-whites as well. But I hate the way things stand at the moment, so I say we should get rid of it.
I don't think we should get rid of all political correctess. But if it goes too far we can get oppression and too much censorship. I think that political correctness to a certain extent has it's place. To what extent I don't know, but there has to be a certain amount of it to keep a certain level of civilised discourse.
I kind of agree that white heterosexual males are the only group that it's ok to say anything about. Like, it's fine for a woman to say "I hope he goes to prison and gets raped up the arse by a massive mexican bloke!" Just imagine if a guy said that about a woman! and the one that really gets me is "all men are the same!". Thats right, St Francis Of Assisi and Adoph Hilter were EXACTLY the same. FUCK OFF! I see loads of organisations dedicated to helping minority kids succede in life. But what about poor white kids who dont have much of a chance in the future? Would it be too "politically incorrect" to have an organisation dedicated to helping them? I think so
