Hitler gave the people what they wanted the most. He launched a massive public works program to pull Germany out of the Depression. Superhighways, office buildings, huge stadiums and public buildings were constructed at a rapid pace... Germany simply did not have enough farmland to feed her population or enough raw materials to supply her factories. New lands to the east would then have to be taken over. This was the beginning of Hitler and the German people's aspirations.

WHat people? German people are not and were not a mass of identical guys. There were a lot of socialists and communists and liberals at the time. They surely were not happy with hitler! Jews were german too! When we think of an entire nation worshipping their leader and following him, we forgot that the dissent had been smashed away. Rather cruely.
Of course, there were probably the majority of people happy with Hitler, like italians with Mussolini. Happy because of ignorance. Like we are at our table, because we forgot/ignore that our richness comes from others poverty and actual starvation.

A clear and objective understanding of what exactly occurred in Germany at that time and why is difficult. Our perspectives are distorted through wartime and post-war propaganda. Hitler certainly had far greater popular support than most of the 'democratically elected' leaders that we have today.

he gave a doctrine not only Germany but a lot of Europe agreed with and he dragged the Germans out of a deep depression he was good .. for a short while.
