I thought blood drinking was wrong.
Why does everyone hate Catholics for? Atleast you get a tasty snack! Cant say that for Protestant churches!
I was catholic for half of my life, and I can tell you, it's hardly tasty.

Believe me, I know. I was raised Lutheran. I've even known "the beauty, symbolism and deep love connected to recieving the eucharist." Read your precious Bible. If you're Christian then Eucharist is literally cannibalism. If you're not Christian then it's figuratively cannibalism. The difference is Christians believe that the wafer and wine they eat are divinely turned into blood and flesh. Non-Christians obviously realize that this is a symbolic ritual, but either way it is sick and wrong.
A better question: Why does the Jewish mohel suck the little boychik's penis after circumcision? Is he a vampire? See Ballot 16859.
If you would read the passages that surround that verse!!!! You would see that in verse 48 Jesus states "He that believeth on me has everlasting life." Then he makes the comparison between the manna, that the Jews ate in the wilderness after the exodus, to Himself. Christ is comparing his body to bread. The manna didn't last but the body of Christ does. Figuratively and literally. The bread and juice doesn't actually turn into Christ's body, as Catholics state. If they are talking the word of God as the word of God they should believe II Timothy 2:5 "There is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus." Not the Pope! John 3:7 "Do not marvel that I said to you "You must be born again." (Jesus) He also says John3:17 "For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world should be saved through Him. He who believes in Him is not judged" (As priests judge and percribe penance for you to do) "he who does not believe has been judged already because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God." There is no power given to priests to judge or to forgive sins.
