Lawds who put the spam in here???
Um, what spam?
Balance. That wasn't a factor for me until a few years out of college, but grows each year, since. You younger folks have not yet been exposed to the great sucking vacuum that Work can become on your time and on your lives. But you will.
Finally finding a goal in life to work towards and hopefully even be passionate about despite the banality of life!
Fried spam sandwich...
I define having a life as being able to do what makes me happy. For me it's a combination of sitting or walking around at home, exercising, reading, Internet surfing, gaming, eating out, and some working (software or web dev).
I totally agree with that definition, Zorra.
being single, rich childless and happy. of which i am not any.
Most important in "having a life" is to do something you like for a living. This seems self-evident, but many, many people are trapped in jobs they hate. This makes them unhappy because we spend almost 40 percent of our life at work. So, find something you like to do and get paid for it (there is a book of approximate title); find a significant other that you are comfortable with most of the time, and on fire with some of the time, and find yourself just mindlessly loving now and again. These are some of the components of "having a life." The rest will come out of your mind, heart, and spirit. Having a life? A lifetime's work.
I define having a life as being content with what you have, and if you are content with what you have, you will be very happy. Also, there is nothing wrong with making what you have better and more. That is unless you do it in a good and honest way. In life, be true to yourself, and to others. Don't forget to have fun either, for that is the best part! Hey, have a nice life!
