How about a quickie..
While driving her to the hospital, stop at a casino to make a sports bet (while she waits in the car!) so you'll have "something to do while you're waiting."
I was in labor for 19 hours and was not allowed to eat. My husband ate cheeseburgers and later, fried chicken in front of me and then he actually made the mmmmm yummy noise to tease me. He's also the same guy that didn't buy me any flowers or a card when our son was born. Did I mention he was my FIRST husband. He had to go bye bye. :)
