Mind you the whole notion of music directed for TV has always sucked. It's usually just watered down fodder for people that don't have the attention span or the imagination to just use their ears.

That's the way all the music TV stations are now. MTV, VH1 and that country music station CMT. MTV Productions bought out all those stations and now there's nothing but a bunch of crap on 24/7. Thanks alot MTV for ruining all music stations.
Too many cheesy tv shows on it. Not enough variety in music videos. I mainly enjoy jus watch the VMA's and movie awards on it now.

They only show the beautiful people and show lives that are perfect. That is not real life. The real world is not the "real world". Its a bunch of spoiled stuck up attractive crybabies with dumb problems that whine too much. Put fat ugly people with problems and show the "real" world. A world of cold dark evil reality, full of uglyness. That's the real world.
Much Music is much better than MTV. It is the Canadian equivelent to MTV but it is much better. I have watched MTV and I was like "where are the videos..?" and there like are hardly ever any..and Im Canadian so I usually watch muchmusic. There are shows on much music but they intergrate actually WATCHING VIDEOS. Like RapCity (rap videos), MuchVibe(r&b vids), MuchLoud(rock/metal vids), MOD (much on demand..vote for ur fav vid), CombatZone (2 videos go head to head and u vote for who wins), Much Top Tens (there will be a topic such as "you ruined my life videos" and it will play the top 10 videos with that theme, Much Music Countdown...Which is the countdown! Also Powershift Which makes you decide and vote for the top 30 videos in a sepereate countdown.. All these shows actually SHOW music videos!! amazing isnt it! and its all on Much Music!! I don't think you can get Much Music in the States but I don't know, but it is a lot better than MTV because I have it on satellite..and it makes me laugh compared to Much Music.
To me, all of the above, but the little kiddies need something to tell them what's cool.
