COMMENTS:
Often one is sold and the other is bought at the expense of those who are doomed to die from either - or both. So, depends on who's doing the buying and selling, but they're probably equally bad.
Sell drugs is only wrong if you're selling to a young kid. Selling guns illegaly is far worse than selling drugs.
I forgot to say it also depends on the drug. Heroin and crack obviously do more damage than say, weed.
guns kill people like my pen makes spelling mistakes
Drugs. Guns are only dangerous when loaded.
Selling your BODY is the worst!
I've never subscribed to the "guns kill people/people kill people philosophy". I say: guns make it EASIER for people to kill people. Guns have one purpose, and that purpose is to shoot things. Recreational drugs generally have one purpose, and that is to get you high. It really depends on the situation, but given the huge spectrum of different drugs, effects, and consequences of use, compared to the relatively small spectrum of gun technology, I'd say that in general, guns are worse. There's a clear difference between hard drugs and soft drugs.
Drugs have to be made by someone. A camping trailer recently blew up in my town and injured several during Meth making. Kids have been killed in this manner by their own parents. I own guns and would only harm the drugged up little bas*ard that breaks into my house and take my things so he can buy more drugs. Guns are safe if used responsibly.
I'll cede the point that drugs, in general, cause more harm to society. They can promote addiction that causes crime because people need money to support their habit. It's all WAY underground, so you run a risk of getting ripped off, mugged, hurt, or killed if you're dealing with shady characters. Kids can get ahold of them. (Kids can get ahold of alcohol, too.) Your point is good about the danger of home manufacturing - but it is mainly limited to methamphetamine, which is terribly destructive, and requires very toxic and dangerous chemicals to produce. The same could be said, to a lesser extent, about the manufacture of other synthetic drugs. I remember a guy was trying to make synthetic heroin, but he committed one crucial mistake in the lab. Everyone who took the heroin developed Parkinson's disease. Plant-derived drugs are a bit different, since you can at least identify what you are getting if you are familiar with what it is supposed to look, taste, and smell like - much more so than a pill, which coud contain ANYTHING. And the only manufacturing involved in making these drugs is growing, extracting, and refining, which is generally simpler and therefore carries less risk of accidents than creating a drug in a lab. That's not to say that many plant-based drugs don't end up as a white powder, but you can *fairly accurately determine what is in the powder by look, smell, and taste.
Prediction 10,000% more people die from guns than drugs.
guns are awesome
Guns and drugs can be fun in the right hands, but give either to a degenerate and they'll abuse them. Selling 'illegal' guns is probably worse, they're likely to be used by drug dealers anyway.
Drugs, because the illegal stuff is never testable by most buyers, and so they have no idea if it's been cut with washing powder or something worse. Also, things like Speed made in bathtubs can often kill people as well. At least with guns, it's easy to tell if the weapon is poorly made or a fake for most buyers.
It is worse to sell guns because at most times the guns that are illegally bought are illegally used. Same with drugs except drugs don't always
Selling drugs.Guns could do a good thing such as self protection. But drug does nothing but harm to you and others.
Definitly drugs. Alot of us were drug addicts tyears ago, and leagalizing a drug will draw a young crowd to use them.
Let's say we were living in a colony of ants. Do you think it would be wise to let one of us own an anteater?
if guns were outlawed people would still use knives.. guns dont kill people... people kill people
