I change my beliefs when that route seems to take me closer to truth.
As for debates ... depends upon the nature of those involved. While I may not change beliefs, I also won't continue smacking my head against a wall -- especially if others involved aren't worth my time.

I don't debate because I am here to have fun. I'm also pretty stubborn. But any opinion I do care to voice, I will stand by... unless I was drunk and don't remember. ;)
I back out of debates if my views aren't unpopular. But that's probably just me.

I'm about half scottish and half german, so yeah, I'm pretty argumenative.

That was a ballot choice I made to go along with the others.
If I know I'm on the right side of the issue, no pun intended, I will never submit.
