I'd say about half of my friends are democrats. So yeah, it's possible.
And the biggest manipulators are the talking heads. Bob Novak, Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity preach and thrive off of hatred. I don't know them personally; they might even be nice guys. Perhaps they're only portraying idiotic characters, but their followers are obscene, racists f*cks. I think the talking heads & hosts need to be aware of the old saying, DIME CON QUIEN ANDAS Y TE DIGO QUIEN ERES (tell me who your friends are and I'll tell you who you are). At some point these fellows need to step out of character and analyze their demographic. When your biggest fans are neo-nazis & KKK members, itÂ’s time to ask yourself if you're doing relevant work. Maybe they've become the characters they portray. Or maybe they were always sick. Unfortunately, it appears that there is just too much money to be made from divisiveness.
I agree with elvis. The things that really matter, the issues, get drowned out by this "my side, your side" mentality that we see mostly in the media and that influences the public. It makes me wonder if it's intrinsic to human nature. I can't wait until the Presidential debates - that's really the only time we get an unbiased insight into the nature of the candidates.

You point out conservatives but what about liberal hate mongers such as Moore, Sharpton and other that hate much more than any Republican host.
The only thing Sharpton and Moore hates are injustices, racism, lies told by your pathetic Presidents, sending innocent American troops to their deaths on a LIE (Weapons of Mass Distraction), and all the ugly crap YOUR President and all his supporters spew in the face of the American people and the world...
We Liberals hate no one...However, we will no longer put up with the Republican crap, we will for now on call the Racist Hate/War Mongers of the Republican Party out in to the open and take them to task everytime they step out of line.
Now, call it hate all you please...If they step out of line, they will get slapped on their noses with the morning Newspaper like any other disobedient mutt...
