Fuck that -- Hawkeyes all the way.
Who cares? Every1 knows that Florida State would beat either team by at least 30.
Yeah, but FSU would beat Iowa by 31, whereas FSU would beat Nebraska by at least 45.
Right now, Iowa's 8-2 and Nebraska's 5-5. Let's say that, hypothetically, Iowa loses to Wisconsin in its next game and then loses its bowl game as well. That leaves the Hawks at an 8-4 record. Decent enough -- I remember when the Hawks were 1-10, so I definitely won't complain about 8-4. Still in the hypothetical situation, let's say that Nebraska beats Colorado in its next game, and Iowa State loses its next two games -- something that is possible. I think this would put Nebraska into the Big 12 Championship Game -- let's say that, this time, they somehow defeat the Sooners and go to a BCS bowl, and somehow, they win the bowl game. That gives the Huskers an 8-5 record. The worst possible scenario (in my humble Hawkeye opinion) is that they'll have a tie. Though a lot of things would have to work in Nebraska's favor for that. Realistically, Iowa will probably lose to Wisconsin and win their bowl game, leaving them at 9-3. As for Nebraska, it all depends on the Colorado game.
nebraska sucks, callahan has totally written this season off. I have to wonder if he did so in order to tell recruits "look we suck, we need you NOW" The Huskers have at worst the number 2 ranked recruiting class in the nation at this point, a lot of the so called experts have them at number one. I hope that makes up for whatever the hell is going on this season *shrugs*.
Nebraska: 5-6. Iowa: currently 9-2.
END OF 2004 SEASON... Hawkeyes: 10-2, including thrilling clutch victory in the Capital One Bowl; finished #8 in the nation. Huskers: 5-6; finished #9 in the Big 12.
