The people are saying, No to war in Iraq, No to the regime change by the Bush government, No to pre-emptive war, No to the economic policies, No to the corruption, No to weapons of mass destruction.
From this kind of protest, it is clear to see that G.W. Bush will not have another term in the office of Presidency of the U.S.

Yes
No
John Kerry can't be trusted either

These are professional protestors, they would anything. If Democrats embrace these nut cases it gonna hurt'em at the ballot box. The protestors are going to turn off a lot of would undecided's.

lcb: They must have have had real jobs in previous economies, then, because they've never turned out in these numbers before.

I wasn't saying they don't have real jobs. I was just trying to show they protest anything and everything.

The Census of the U.S. siad that the population of the U.S. is 294,140,711. The percent of those that protested (And realize that many aren't American but protest everything everywhere) is .02%. It really isn't that much, don't really read to much into it, remember the protest at the last Republican convention. And who won?

Fools only fool themselves to dismiss such a large protest as meaningless.

For such a high number of people to turn up at a protest march in one city alone is very meaningful and I'm sure that John Kerry will be taking notice.

Cathexis, you have a very good point there in regards to the numbers of people turning out for this protest march.

I'm no fool, but look at the polls and you can see that many poeple are still Bush supporters. That speechs volumes on the Kerry campaign and not on Bush. Protests come and go like mice in a Taco Bell kitchen you know there, there but no ones cares and they still eat the Taco's.

The American electoral system is known all over the world for how corrupt it is, and even right now, Bush and his Republican party will be doing everything they can in dirty underhanded tricks so as to stay in office.

If you took notice of the people who were protesting, then you would have noticed that they were a mix of people from young, middle aged to old aged people.
This wasn't a protest by professional activists who usually are in the young to middle aged group.
Now some people in the U.S. might wonder what is an Australian interested so much in the outcome of the U.S. elections for?
The outcome of the U.S. elections do affect Australia, such as our Prime Minister John Howard who licks the butt of Bush much to the disliking of many Australians.
The Bush government getting Australia involved in a criminal unpopular war of plundering Iraq for control of the region and its resources.
