The situation, except for the release of hostages yesterday has remained the same. Therefore there is nothing NEW. You can't really expect the news corporations to give 24 hour commentary, when nothing is happening. When something eventfull does happen, it will be a the top of the schedule.
The West believes in Putin, so they don't want to embarrass him with that humiliating story, especially that he declared victory two times now, and seems like he's gonna declare it yet a third time.
P.S. The Chechens denied their responsibility. Seems like it's another Chechen group with ties to some rebels in Ingushya.
I am not sure why its being covered up, but its a shame that the media doesn't have the balls to fully inform us.
