COMMENTS:
I would think Christians are used to it by now. Scientific knowledge has steadily replaced superstitions over the past 600 years. Religious people today are desperately clinging to the last few superstitions they can still admit believing without looking like complete fools (or despite looking like complete fools). The amazing thing is they go about their daily lives taking the fruits of science for granted while simultaneously defending the validity, and even superiority, of their faith-based beliefs. This makes the Amish somewhat more honest than you, Da_Chicago_Jigalo, because they practice what they preach. How dare you employ any technology to spread your anti-science gibberish. Are you naive enough to think that the Internet is the not the result of scientific inquiry?
ha ha, u crack me up man, but for someone who can't spell, u spell fine to me
"Religion without science might be blind but science without religion is lame!" Albert Einstein Balance, you see? No I suppose not.
well like, they keep coming up with new theories that proves religion wrong, and more and more people stop believing in God, Well it can't be helped
Aren't you sick of the religion crap trying to take out science...? Ever wondered why religion came before science? Because back when humans were first showing signs of intelligence, they didn't have the mental capacity to answer questions scientifically. They invented something called 'God' to stop them worrying about things that they didn't have the intelligence to think about yet. I'd like to make it clear that this is only my opinion... If people want to be Christian or anything else then that's up to them, as long as they don't use their beliefs as an excuse to practice narrow-mindedness. God may exist for all I know... I don't think that anyone can know.
"I don't think that anyone can know." Happily you are wrong.
And lots of scientists are religious. If nobody can know then we'd all be agnostic and there would be no religions and nobody that says, "God exists." Just because religions try to put people in the way of God to gain earthly power (and cash) doesn't mean God doesn't exist.
I think more and more people are beginning to realize the truth Guest_fe600, but it's not god. People are evolving, and beginning to move away from the myths told by their ancestors. They realize that this world was not created by some all powerful being and that their is no such thing as good and evil...only shades of gray. Religion was made up for the purpose of giving life a meaning. People just couldn't comprehend that we are just a mistake, an amazing accident. So they fabricated a purpose, an ultimate goal that they would reach upon their death. Now people are starting to realize just how silly the idea of religion really is. Eventually the major religions will become a minority just like paganism is today. People will eventually realize the truth, it will just take some time.
Well Ashley, they sure like to blow up other things now don't they. Religious fanatics are constantly killing innocent people because they do not believe in the same thing. It is really quite sad. Though when I think about it, I can't think of one time when an atheistic fanatic blew up a building, or crashed planes into them, or even commit mass suicide hoping to find a creator.
Perhaps the folks who are anti-science should go to a priest the next time they're sick. :-)
Actually Leviathan, matter and energy are one in the same. Matter is simply made up of strings of energy that vibrate at different speeds.
I'm sick of religion ignoring science. Of course, philoshy is the melding of the two and the only one you can rely on (because it states you can't rely on it - freaky!).

But to really quell both science and religion advocates - what would happen if science explained the workings of God? After all, science is man's quest to understand his environment and his environment is supposedly created by God.

If scientists try to describe the workings of God they are characters are assassinated and they are cast into the memory hole by people who have a vested interest in denying God's existence or herding them into a religion.
science crap is trying to take out religion. Dont do it,go out with me instead, science crap will only two time you
Fish...
There are at least two ways of obtaining truth: the scientific method and faith. If you like to validate your beliefs with the best evidence available then chose the scientific method. If you'd rather blindly believe whatever you are told by your spiritual advisor of choice (or birthright) then faith is for you. People who chose faith over science continuously fight a losing battle. That is why Christians and other faith-based believers are always on the defensive. The more interesting question is "Aren't you sick of the religious crap trying to take out science?" Indeed, I am sick of this.
Religious nuts are a danger to modern civilization, just look at Osama Bin Laden, Pat Robertson, Bush etc...
Nope but i'm sick of religion trying to take crap out of science.

SCIENCE NO TAKE RELIGION OuT! RELIGION NEVER THERE TO BEGIN WITH!
Yeah I which people would do away with science, facts and all that other liberal nonsense and trust God. God does not want us to think for ourselves or try and figure out how the world works,if he did it would all be in the Bible.
Why do people always bring up fundamentalists and Bin Laden when they mention God? Why not mention Pol Pot when you mention atheism, or do you think we might see your little slandering game for what it is? Presenting a parody of all that faith stands for is rather disingenuous. I have met many who walk the line of science and belief in God, and am sick of scientists being the Priests of the age and thinking that only they can pontificate on the meaning of life, just because they know the periodic table. You can't put God in a test tube, and I've never understood the pay off you get from believing that life is just a pointless accident - are the God-bashing intellectuals that desperate to rebel? Most people don't believe now because it's fashionable to be a wishy-washy post-modernist, to live your life to a media schedule, and to follow a philosophy that allows you to be a narcissistic consumerist bastard and allows you to ignore morality or purpose in life
There'll always be crackpots who will cling to their religious beliefs - and that's all they are, people !! - in spite of everything. And who cares? Just so long as they don't try to force those beliefs on others.
your ignorant, religion is just a fantisy world, scientists are trying to find out the facts without living in a fantisy world.
