Well yes, rape is rape. But you could say that date-rape is probably more premeditated than street rape.

True, and I think some studies have shown that the walking down a dark alley form of rape is nearly unheard of. So, date-rape would thus be the much more common occurance. So, most likely it is someone they know, or are an accaintence of.

So, does the fact that date rape is premeditated make it 'worse'? If a murder is premeditated, that is considered worse in the eyes of the law.

Well rape and date rape are both horrendous crimes. Rape is usually done by men on animal instincts. The man just wants to have sex so bad that he will physically force himself on the woman to have it. Date rape is a lot more premeditated, the guy has to buy the drugs then try to slip it into the girls drink and then get her to a place where they wont be found. I think that if a guy can go to all that trouble why can't he just go to a club or bar and chat up a girl then have sex with her. I think that they must have mental problems and just want to do sadistic things to girls, that no conscious or willing girl would let them do.
