lets straighten out a few people here.canada does not have free health care,its paid thru income tax,its universal health care.canada`s military although very small,is highly trained and professional and always has been.the us military have only been volunteer for a short period of time in comparison.pound for pound the usa`s military is pretty much fucked.approx. 26% of canadians are francophone.
And don't forget, per capita, our military is comparable to the United States. We only have 1/10 the population...if we gave into the ridiculous US demands to increase our military force we'd be a police state. NATO is there for a reason.
