Great question. No. I feel that I have a strong moral compass that tells me how to conduct myself. I guess you could call it conscience, or empathy.

Not really. I live as I do because I feel it is right, not because I feel it is commanded.
I consider myself agnostic and really just live each day to it's best. I think I have good morality without really "worshiping" anything or anyone is particular.
I think the worst thing in the world would be to look back and wonder what something would have been like had you had the courage to do it so live life like it's your last day. It's such a small amount of time really and who made the rules anyway? Eat, drink and be fat and drunk!!! :)
It's not that I don't believe in a higher power, it's just that I know that that "power", or "energy" - whatever you want to call it - is intangible and incomprehensible to us as humans in any conventional sense. So I don't spend too much time trying to tap into it, although I do sometimes consider it, especially in weird instances like deja vu. In other words, I'm comfortable with not knowing what to believe.
Yes. My religion does tell me the right way to live, and I do try to follow it. Does it mean that I'm a mindless slave, as the ballot indicates?? No. But I follow the laws of my religion, and I am still able to love life and have fun, and be in harmony with myself and God.
I find it a better way to live than most atheists. They wake up every day with a new amusement or pastime. They exist because "they just do". working and striving to attain goals in this world in this short life.
I'm sorry, Spirit. You are right. 'Dictate' was a poor word choice.
Question assumes beliefs not necessarily held. However, my belief in an ultimate reality which supports all being, does give me a longing to somehow know and respond to such eternal being. Thanks for your ballot.
Seems to me that there are only 3 choices here. 1 god or some symbolic deity(wolves dogs, cats etc) 2 no god or anything 3 I dont think you can know. 1 mtheist 2 atheist 3 agnostic. Well let me add another. how about someone who believes there is something else but cannot (will not) accept another humans explanation of what it is. This is me. and I do have beliefs which shape the way i act. strongly. and as Mojo points out, its a moral compass. and as applerod said I`m comfortable not knowing what to believe! there are other theist agnostic views on here. but i have to go answer the phone :)
