COMMENTS:
adult children? isnt that an oxymoron?
Someone who was a child but has since reached adulthood. Yeah, it does seem to be rather an oxynmoron, now that you mention it.
That means one's sons and daughters that have reached adulthood. Or in current psychology, it means adults who have unresolved childhood issues.
'Someone who was a child but has since reached adulthood.' Why wouldn't that simply be called an 'adult'? Are there adults out there who managed to skip childhood?
tsk: People, you're getting caught up on semantics. They are not simply called Adults because there is a desire to continue to highlight the relationship, even after they have passsed certain age. It is a common term, whether or not you have herad of it. If you want to debate its oxynoron status, you can always atart a new ballot. For now ... *focus*, people!
