COMMENTS:
I doubt if anyone would react differently put in a similar postion. Many can strut, from the comfort of their computer screens, but I sorely doubt anyone would have any other thought in their mind other than self preservation.
Which website? Not al-Ansar again (the site where the hoax Nick Berg Beheading video was uploaded from); it's not really Islamic despite the US & UK media claims. It's a front for some operation being run by non-Islamic people in the UK and Texas. It's even registered to an owner in Dallas. Is this British victim wearing an orange jumpsuit too, in Abu Ghraib prison style like Paul Johnson and Nick Berg were?
It's very sad. He's clearly very shaken but such a fine man that he is holding on to his emotions as best he can until he mentions his son. As a parent, that broke my heart.
What are all the people getting kidnapped doing out there in the first place? I feel sorry for him but why did he have to contribute to America's Imperialism to make money? Talk about playing with fire.
I think there should be a rethinking in the no-negotiation policy. I think when there is 500 children's life is at stake, proper thing to have done was to release the prisoner that they were demanding, with a tag of some kind and follow them and the moment they release the children, they should have recaptured them. With today's CIA technology, don't you think that's possible? Especially since these people being held prisoner by the terrrorists were sent by their goverment to the war zone, and failed to protect them against these kidnappers, the least they can do is to prevent them from being beheaded.

The CIA? Ha ha ha ha.
None of the other Western hostages did that.
Yes, if they would actually release them as they said they would...
I don't believe it is fair to think of the man as a coward. I believe he is a contractor and not a professional soldier? He expresses a natural reaction to his situation.
I totally agree Cathesix, however, I have discussed this matter with several others and there are those who expressed that he should die with dignity and not like a coward...It certainly was shocking to hear other Americans (other human beings) make such an insensitive comment about an individual who is approaching his last hours, and/or minutes on earth...
There's nothing dignified about having your head sawed off.
Numanx, what are you on, and where can I get some?
Its easy to judge a situation that we have never experienced, I dont know what I would do in the same situation, oh wait I wouldn't go there in the 1st place carrying a US or UK passport.

I'd definitely have a cyanide pill strapped around my neck all the time.
You all act as if those murdering savages will play fair with the U.S. Their organization could care less about a few more deaths. Whether or not someone had negotiated with them, would the event of freeing the hostages be completely definite? What if they're thinking "well, shit, we could get back our female
(sorry, hit comment to soon. continuing on..) prisoners and kill the hostages anyway? I mean, it's not like these guys care about the rules. Think of the praise they'd get for fooling the US and it's allies while getting back the female terrorists as well? Other organizations would hail them. I'm not saying this would happen indefinitely, but with the crap that goes on now, would it truly surprise anyone?
To anyone who thinks that Bigley's a coward, I DARE you to react differently when someone tells YOU that they're going to cut your head off...
He's not a coward. He was very dignified until he talked about his son and then he broke down. As a parent, I can certainly understand that.

Poor guy! I hope they let him free.
which dick head told him to go to iraq in the first place...any man thinks they can walk in and come out all happy... u need to be slapped up...and the british mans brother was on the tv saying...so calmly like he was a piece of shit to him..." oh yeah i mean i thnk theyll kill him by monday" so calmly the cnut....his brother even said." the man knew what risk he was taking so its his own fault really but you know what do you expect...iraq is corruped...get these coalition forces out and give them back their country".
and by the way...when people are trapped by terrorists...why dont the white governments compromise...cos they dont give two shits..so you lot all might as well go and die.
his reaction is natural, especially for someone who has a family and a wife. i have seen the execution of the american guy, i think he is called eugene. it was on kazaa and he wasnt exactly brave when he was being killed. it will not change british policies, we do not negogiate with terrorists.
