COMMENTS:
Assuming you mean valuable to the greater good I would say it was wisdom.

If you mean valuable to the people who control the planet and suck money and wealth from the global population like dead-eyed vampire bastards then I am sure they value intelligence over wisdom.

cretin_slap, you really know how to hit the nail on the head (sorry for the tired metaphor).

Thanks.
by mojo on Fri Sep 24, 04 8:36am [+]

There is wisdom about power, money, trichery, etc. too.
Those big men who have experience with this milieu are certainly wiser than most of us. Not matter how "evil" they are.

Intelligence is also the ability to crush occultism.
by Religious_Krap on Fri Sep 24, 04 9:26am [+]

You're too kind, mojo.

Religious Krap. If you want to think that then that is fine by me. I suppose you could also say that boys who sit around all day playing Halo have a sort of wisdom too.
by cretin_slap on Fri Sep 24, 04 9:41am [+]

Have you ever heard of Machiavelli ?
Do you think experienced politicians, generals, dictators, etc always improvise their way out of sticky situations or to seize opportunities ?
When you have power and you're intelligent you learn a great deal of things about people, behaviors and how not to get screwed. This is undeniable.

But i suppose because you don't like someone then you're better than them.
by Religious_Krap on Fri Sep 24, 04 10:24am [+]

I mean it's not because you don't like someone that they have no qualities.
by Religious_Krap on Fri Sep 24, 04 10:33am [+]

Machiavelli? Mr Ends Justifies The Means? Yes I have heard of him.

Have you heard of Yoda?
"Wars not make one great." Now that's wise. I may not like you, but, like the people who drafted the America Constitution, I believe we were all created equal. Therefore I don't think i'm better than you are.
by cretin_slap on Fri Sep 24, 04 10:45am [+]

That's what i'm saying. You don't like something then its worthless.
by Religious_Krap on Fri Sep 24, 04 10:55am [+]

I don't like Wagner but I wouldn't say he is worthless.
by cretin_slap on Fri Sep 24, 04 11:37am [+]

Wisdom comes with age but intelligence doesn't.
by MrTroche on Fri Sep 24, 04 12:09pm [+]

I didn't say you believe people are worthless.
I said that you think "evil" people's wisdom is worthless... Since they're evil.

Personally I prefer Strength, Dexterity, Constitution and Charisma. Intelligence is important if you are a Wizard but I don't play these characters alot and Wisdom is the least useful atribute.
by Goku94 on Fri Sep 24, 04 9:11pm [+]

funny
by MrTroche on Sat Sep 25, 04 7:03am [+]

Of course wisdom is more important! I could not care for someone who has a phd in nuclear-physics and is also immoral.
by EUROTOPIA on Sat Sep 25, 04 12:17pm [+]

Intelligence is knowledge- Wisdom is the use of that knowledge for the right purposes.
by EUROTOPIA on Sat Sep 25, 04 12:19pm [+]

MrTroche, there are many people whom are old-aged fools who despite their experience have never grasped wisdom.

Evil people are not wise. One may descibe them as devious, calculating, sly, and smart. But an evil person is never wise.
by EUROTOPIA on Sat Sep 25, 04 12:23pm [+]

I know some people buck the trend but for the most part, intelligent people grow to be wise as well, but intelligence without wisdom and morality is a dangerous thing.
by MrTroche on Sat Sep 25, 04 6:28pm [+]

I didn't say you believe people are worthless.
I said that you think "evil" people's wisdom is worthless... Since they're evil.

Are you claiming that that quote from Adolf Hitler is an example of wisdom? Maybe you'd like to tell me something about Grand Theft Auto and call that wisdom?
by cretin_slap on Tue Sep 28, 04 10:27am [+]

sure
by Religious_Krap on Wed Nov 03, 04 12:03pm [+]

There are many people out there that have Intelligence but no common since.
by wonderingwhy on Fri Mar 04, 05 2:37pm [+]

Intelligence determines whether you become wise or mad later on.
by eoganan on Sun Jul 03, 05 10:03am [+]

Voted : Wisdom
The Nazis had loads of intelligence but very little wisdom. Shmoes who work at the same job for 50 years have loads of wisdom but (usually) have very little intelligence. I know who does the least harm.
