Depends. First, I'm not one to go looking for a probability of taking human life, so I would not fight. I don't mind being on front lines, but it would have to be as a medic or something. Second, I am very leery (especially after four years of George W Bush) about anything an organization tells me. I'd have to be *very* sure of its truthfulness and lack of hidden agendas. Lastly, I would have to consider whether such a use of force would be an effective approach, and to what situations.
Upon consideration: No. To be a member of any military force means accepting an obligation to perform according to the judgment/ honesty of others. I prefer to make my own decisions.
I think that would be great to have a huge army that works in the best interest of the majority of nations, as far as joining, I would not, I have to many kids to feed.

Deposing dictators sounds too much like modern imperialism to me. Why does it always seem like when countries intervene in the political problems of another country, things almost invariably end up going south? Ultimately, I think it's the people in those countries who will have the power to stand up and change their government, then at least they can say that it was the people where responsible for change. It may be bloody, but is intervention not bloody as well?
what do you know um__yeah your from Canada, lol

... shit.
Hmm, join the military force of a group of horribly corrupt unelected beaurcrats representing tyrants and genocidal maniacs, who seem content to starve little children as long as they can embezzle some money in the process and which has arguably the worst track record for peacekeeping in history. I'll have to sleep on it.
herz: Are you talking about the U.N or Bush? ;-)
Bush wasn't the one lining his pockets with the UN oil for food scandal. Remember the dem line? Bush works for big oil, they own him, he'd have made money by lifting the sanctions and allowing all that oil onto the world market.
Bush couldn't organise a piss up in a brewery. His company, Arbusto, which is Spanish for Bush, was declared bankrupt, and his business partner, Mr bin-Laden (the brother of Osama) died in a plane crash. If you want to find out about The United Nations then type New World Order Quotes into a search engine.
