Because diets just suck.
Well, in ADDITION to the good Doctor dying as a result of his immune system being compromised by the diet, it'll give you dragon breath that out of this WORLD...
glucose is your brain's main energy source
Any diet that is based on strict limitations rather than balance, portion control, and exercise is most probably not worthwhile. There are few Silver Bullets in life.
Its just plain stupid. I spent four months studying abroad in Costa Rica last year where they eat rice and beans with EVERY meal, a good amount of fruit and vegetables, and a small amount of meat. I lost 30 pounds in four months, 200 to 170, doing almost exactly what you're not supposed to do under the diet. Not only is it bad for your health, but its not correct.
Cathexis, we finally agree on something. Moderation is key.
Diet and exercise... the way to improved health/reduced risk of disease. Life can't exist without carbs, so let's not try and cut them out completely, eh?
Because all carbs are not created equal.. the key is portion control..
Depriving your body of essential nutrients up to the point where it starts breaking down? Yeah, that sounds REALLY healthy to me! NOT!!
