To err is human. To forgive is divine. God is love. He won't be sending anyone to hell.
A very good question, on several levels. I prefer to think that Man is wrong in their conceptualization, including those christians who focus on strict, literal interpretations of the Old Testament.
I waver between being an atheist, an agnostic and a Unitarian-Universalist. None of my three selves believes in Hell. I don't claim to know the truth, but I strongly suspect that the fundamentalists are wrong, because I just can't imagagine a universe in which Jerry Falwell has a clue.
Both Christianity [The Jesus Cult] AND Islam [Mohammed's Cult] are wrong. Hell is complete fiction. It does not exist, it never has existed. It's fiction and fantasy from the ignorant past. [Ancient primitive peoples observed fire coming from the earth .. so that basically is where the notion of 'hell' came from.. "God" judges no one, God 'punishes' no one.. that is more fiction.. GOD is an Interested Observer of that which transpires on Earth.. All souls go to an appropriate Heaven, of which there are Many.. .. Humans are essentially perfect, just like any other lifeform.. Usually born perfect, and programmed to be just as we are.. Life experiences hopefully serve to support the well being and success of many people.. though that isn't always the case.. Science, technology, intelligence, are helping greatly, and should be supported and encouraged always..!!
Funny, dinkytown.
Glenwillow how the hell are you certain of all this unless?...
