COMMENTS:
Classic example of a Freudian slip.
I trust everyone will all young people between the ages of 19 and 30 will be taking extended vacations in Canada, if Bush is re-elected lol.
Oooh, tough call!
I remember another George Bush (Snr)making a solemn pledge:- 'Read my lips, there will be no more taxes!' So we know how things said by such an honest family is worth lol.
I'll put my hopes on a trip of the tongue, because I've got a couple of nephews and a dozen or so cousins who, if Mister Bush actually WERE that f!@king STUPID, would end up smack in the middle of the Sunni Triangle. Both sides KNOW that the draft is political suicide, but people commit suicide DAILY in the political arena.
Didnt Freud also say here are NO accidents?
Almost Steelhampster, but it was Jung who said *there are no accidents* when he was decribing synchronicity. But your point is well taken. That son of a gun is itching for a draft.
It looks to me like a simple slip of the tounge. I have those all the time. Bush is a good guy, but his speaking skills need plenty of work..
My favorite slip was during the first debate: But to say that there's only one focus on the war on terror doesn't really understand the nature of the war on terror. Of course we're after Saddam Hussein -- I mean bin Laden.
I think he was right the first time but I hope I'm wrong.
