COMMENTS:
I think Mr Robertson may have got the quote wrong, I cant imagine even Bush saying that, unless he thought that he had the lords powers with him and he could use them to protect our troops but I dont even think Bush is that dumb, if he is then he truely needs to find a nice length of rope, a chair and a strong rafter.
That's how out-of-touch with reality Bush is. First, thinking there'd be no casualties, and second, looking to Pat Robertson for advice.
I agree with Duckhead. Pat was probably confused. Bush's syntax could easily have confused Pat, and, no doubt, Pat was distracted by the voices screaming in own head.
ha ha, funny dink!
Should be "in his own head" Apparently, Bush isn't the only one who has problems with English.
Both of them are nutty froot loops.
If he believes all his lies are they still lies really?

Truthseeker, I can't find anything on this. Are you sure? Sounds like something he'd say, but can't find the quote.
I saw that interview. Pat Robertson went on to say the he had great concern about going into Iraq & that he told Bush that. He told Bush that if he does go to war that he should prepare the American people for the casualties...because there would be many casualties. He said he had never seen anyone so 'confident' as Bush when he insisted that "there will be no casualties". And that's from a man that loves and supports George Bush!
Unbelievable, Bush never ceases to amaze.
Maybe he meant to say 'casually', like we aren't going in to war casually, or he doesn't know what to wear. ???
No, I checked he did say that. He said the US won't have casualties. He's completly out. He lied to the general American nation, and how gullible most Americans are they thought there weren't going to be many or any casualties.
Now Pat Robertson is a fully credible source. I just can't believe you people!
I want to know which "God" these guys are talking to.
Pat says that God warned him that the war in Iraq would be "A, a disaster and, B, messy." Pat tried to pass the warning on to Bush, who refused to listen. Good for Bush. Refusing to listen to Pat Robertson is the beginning of wisdom. Now that the war is going badly, Pat is saying "God told you so. You should have listened to me and God." Pat still claims that he and God are on Bush's side. I don't know about God, but help from Pat Robertson is something the entire country can do without. Pat and his buddy, Jerry Falwell, should convert to Islam. They could move to Iran, make silly statements attributed to God, and no one would laugh at them.
like I said,froot loop.
I saw Pat Robertson's interview... it was on CNN, Paula Zahn Now. Yes, truthseeker, your comments are correct, except for the call... this conversation between Robertson and Bush was apparently face to face... Robertson said " I met with him down in Nashville before the Gulf War started... And he was the most self-assured man I ever met in my life. You remember, Mark Twain said, he looks like a contended Christian with four aces. He was just sitting there, like, I'm on top of the world, and I warned him about this war. I had deep misgivings about this war, deep misgivings. And I was trying to say, Mr. President, you better prepare the American people for casualties. Where Bush apparently responded with, what you quoted, above. Bush spokespeople have now come forward and said that that conversation never happened. So, now the question would be. "Which devout Christian is lying"?

tadgerman, I NEVER called Pat Robertson CREDIBLE! I wouldn't if you put a gun to Donovan McNabb's head (go Eagles!). I just called it as I found it. Not that my nerves NEEDED to find it, mind you...
Well, this has been proven to be false. Pat Robertson though is a total a-hole douche bag and he is a criminal who has warped the word of GOD for his own benefit.
