by the way, I know that there really are no 100% defined individual races, and that humans evolve and interbreed,.. this fact is something that groups like the NAACP and ADL need to remember as their own racial classification is stuck in 19th century understanding of racial classification. But this ballot had to be worded in the current cultural context for better understanding for those not versed in genetics or anthropological classification.

by the way LCD how would you classify your ethnicity, just curious..
in other words, how would you fill out a US census form
even into the 80's there were golf clubs that refused black members. I would call that a white organization. Same way I would argue that NBA is pretty much a black organization at this point.

NAACP and ADL are supposed to be organizations that deal with racism and anti-semitism. They aren't the Rotary Club or Knights of Columbus, ...Jezus.
I think the white people should have an organization that deals with racism because other non-white races are just as racist as whites.
Just because the white race makes up the majority "for now" doesn't mean they cant have a special organization to protect and speak out against other races.

That's just it MK, racial organizations aren't made to speak out AGAINST other races.
The whole idea of these little groups is lame.. but..The voices of once oppressed people are now being heard through them. Have the voices of whites in America ever been silenced? Shut off? Ignored?
Why would it be necessary, then, for them to create an organization that promotes the movement of the race when the race is having no trouble moving on?
There was no point of interruption for them to pick up and advance further from. Does anyone get me? 'Cause I'm losing myself...

Before reading others' comments, my way of saying what I think you are saying, Cherri, was that whites do have an organization. It's called the Establishment. So it's not ALL anything. But it does hold sway.

LCD, the fact that these bodies are predominately white does not make them "white organizations". Ever heard of John Conyers or Carol Moseley Braun?
