IDENTIFICATION MUST BE SHOWN AT THE POLLING PLACE TO REDUCE VOTER FRAUD. YES/NO _

[+] serious ballot by lowerclassbrats

You have to show I.D. when you buy alcohol, cigarettes, or go to a casino, but with something as important as voting no proof of identity is required. Why don't you have to confirm your right to participate? Confirm your Identity, what's the big f-ing deal bit(h?
I heard some dunce on T.V. say that requiring identification might scare off some voters. WTF? The only way someone might be scared off would be if the individual is not who he/she says he/she is.

Note: Point out this would not work w/absentee ballots if you must, but that's only common sense.

Yes, I.D. Should be required
No, I like voter fraud

new poll idea- why is it the 'Reps' who are so concerned this year about voter fraud?

I don't mean to start fights, sorry guys, not need to hastle me on and on like insecure whiners, but really.. it's the 'Reps' hastling people in GA, it's the 'Reps' who keep pushing ways to stop (individual) votes from being counted.. but what are you worried about, I'm sure our judges will decide the right thing for us.

Excuse me but what about the truck loads of illegal mexicans voting around 70% democrat.
by danny_mack on Fri Oct 29, 04 2:18am [+]

The absentee ballots are already put to a test they are sent to your house. That is as much of a test as asking for ID. Where I live they always have asked my last name and then my first name and then confirmed my address. After this I sign a line that has all this information on it. They then give me a ballot and I vote. I don't see that it is too much more difficult to show an ID.

"truck loads of illegal mexicans" Are those the same folks Bush wanted to give freebies to?
by Qui_Qui on Fri Oct 29, 04 10:49am [+]

I've always had to show my ID. Seems like common sense to me.
by mojo on Fri Oct 29, 04 11:41am [+]

Most definately. Not showing ID can cause fraud but I have to disagree with the idea that a truck loade of illegal Mexicans are ever even going to pass as legal and get registered for voting.

lowerclassbrats, I'm more libretarian (bad spelling) than pure liberal. That means that I won't agree or disagree with something just because it goes by the liberal democratic agenda. I personally think Kerry is going to do a little less worse than Bush did in 4 years. I endorse him just because he isn't Bush and I'm willing to try a new president instead get another 4 years of hell and not know if Kerry would've done a better job. If the next 4 years are going to be as bad as the last 4 at least I'll be sure Kerry would be worse or the same as Bush. I believe in about 4 conservative policies but international policy you can call me liberal.

Mkaes a bizarre kind of sense to me. I've voted for twenty-two years now, and it's the way I've always done it.
