I have a few Republican friends that just DESPISE Clinton, I wonder if Kerry will surpass him because of how bitter this election is or if Clinton would still be their favorite to hate?

I think Clinton only got bile from those Republicans who tend to be further to the right, most moderate conservatives would probably say that he did a good job.

I don't think those on the Right hated Clinton, nor do they hate Kerry. For some reason, Dubya seems to be the one who can stir up that emotion.
