COMMENTS:
It really is interesting how we crackers get it all the time but we can't say anything about anybody without them taking offense. Sometimes they take offense when you haven't even made a racial slur...they just misinterpret what you say because they want to stay pissed off.
chris rock is on the edge of race humor, but I doubt anyone would call him racist. I think the distinction is that you can make race related humor, but when you do it out of pure malice, and hatred for another race, it becomes racist.

I agree with amyphamy.
It depends on how tastless a stereotypical joke is or isn't. In some cases, racial stereotypes can be funny (I even find some stereotypes of whites funny, and I'm white), but no one should go overboard with it, no matter what race he or she is making fun of.

Hell NO. I tell and enjoy plenty of racial jokes. Doesn't mean I hate minorities. If minorities can make fun of whites (and they do A LOT), I can make fun of others (and do I ever). What I dont understand are people who lambast someone for being "racist" then goes home and turns on Dave Chappelle. What is up with that? I dont find the Chappelle show offensive in the least, but I don't think he is very funny either. I find him kinda boring and monotonous.
"nice response from Bill_is_Real.. I think it all comes down to how secure a group of people are with themselves... when minorities make fun of whites, whites just brush it off because they do not feel threatened. However, when whites publically make fun of minorities, the minorities feel that whites do have power to hurt them, i.e. slavery, imprisonment, etc. by Guest_5ebb6 on Nov 25, 2003" Thats because whites are the majority.

They can be fun and it doesn't make you a racist. Except the "jokes" that racists make, that are not humorous but just because it insult people they hate. People that don't agree with with are just a bunch of pussies.
