AMERICANS: WHEN YOU VOTED FOR PRESIDENT, WHAT DID YOU BASE YOUR VOTE ON?

[+] serious ballot by Ben_The_Sultan
created Thu Nov 04, 04

Did you base your vote on how your life has been the last four years and how politics effected it or how the entire country has been for the last four years. Example. Lets say someone vote for Bush. That person either voted for him because his policies are either in that persons best interest, or because that person thinks he'll be best for the country or both.

I based my vote on who is going to effect my life most
I based my vote on who is going to effect the country the most
I based my vote on those both reasons equally
I based my vote on something else (comment)

COMMENTS:
I based mine on whom I thought was wrong for the country and the people.

Why would you do that? Sarcasm? Anti-American?
by Ben_The_Sultan on Thu Nov 04, 04 2:53pm [+]

haha, no I voted AGAINST the person that I thought was wrong for the country.

Hehehe, I thought you voted for the person who was wrong for the country. My mistake.

LOL, I did, too. Didn't read Duck's comment closely enough.

I would not be holding my breath so much if I believed the environment would survive another Bush tenure. I'm not so worried about Iraq or Social Security, because those things can be mended, but once our environment is gone, that's it. Republican policy seems to be: Spend more, give federal tax moneys to the richest people (Robin Hood in reverse), exploit the land and natural resources, and let an unpopular Democrat pay for it later when he has to raise taxes to recover. Dems save the money, Reps spend the money. That is how I see it. I pray our (and indeed the global) environment can withstand the impending onslaught.

Bush. I voted for my values and what I believe in: the complete destruction of the human race, enriching already rich white nazis and voter intimidation.
