Burning an American flag evokes tremendous emotion, even to the point of generating a movement to add an amendment to the American Constitution banning flag-burning. Is it also wrong, then, to burn the Confederate flag, given the emotional attachment some Americans have for it?

I personally would not waste a match nor lighter fluid on the Confederate flag...The danger and hatred is not within the fabric of the Confederate flag but in the heart and soul of man...

I'd never EVER burn a confederate flag. I'd be taking away the head covering, blanket, pillow, sweat rag, napkin and pocket decoration of some poor southener..

I have no problem with flag-burning of any sort. Hatred is there whether or not a flag is burned. Rather the flag than the people it represents.
