Yeah, I used to see it fairly often. They used to run it very early in the morning when I was a kid (late 60's early 70's). I'd watch it while I was getting ready for school sometimes. It was a bit preachy for my taste (even then), but sort of fun to watch anyway. Goliath was kind of cool wasn't he (always thought I'd like to name a dog Goliath)?
Incidently, Davey and Goliath was created by Art and Ruth Clokey - Art Clokey was the man who created Gumby.
It was a religious kid and his family and their dog, done in claymation.
That show is still on some cable channels, and it is was kind of neat years ago as a kid, but now it seems really creepy.
I've seen some old re-runs a couple of times. When Mad TV used to do claymation skits, they had one called "Davey and the Son of Goliath". Goliath would convince Davey to shoot people while they had sex in their cars. It was pretty funny.
