I always enjoyed reading THE ODYSSEY over the years (many, many translations of the thing), and I always thought the encounter between Odysseus and the Cyclops Polyphemus was the best part of the entire thing.

how could you have forgotten dragons, the most famous of all mythical beasts? also, in my opinion, mythical beasts (dragons, hydrae, gryphons, etc.) shouldn't be categorized with mythical humanoids (elves, dwarves, goblins, etc.)
