It has been reported that, Republicans changed a party rule that would have cost Tom Delay leadership post if he were indicted by a Texas grand jury. What if, the Democrats attempted to adopt a new rule to protect Bill Clinton when he was accused of breaking the law?

Some Republicans would have been outraged...
Some of the Republicans would have been crying foul...
R's would have used their media to throw a fit.

The "rule" was put into place by the GOP in the ninties to fight "corruption." I guess they don't care about that anymore.

And crying foul. The ethics rules that the GOP are trying to tear down as we speak were put into place, through a bi-partisan effort between the GOP-led House and President Clinton, in response to the criminal behavior of Dan Rostenkowski when he ran the House Ways & Means Committee. That what's good for the goose is no longer good for the gander in the eyes of those in power because of the inconvenience it represents- well, it speaks for itself.
