Is it possible that society was actually far dirtier , "evil" , kinky , horny and mischevous when supposedly repressed?
I get the impression in contrast to how it seems that modern movies tend to show a steaming romanticism and erotica in turn of the century based films ( and other european eras) The language spoken behind peoples backs,quotes like Groucho Marx made , the obvious girl-girl going on.Id say society was openly orgy-cal all along and has lost it more and more.
I would suggest that
That which is "forbidden" creates a tension which heightens considerably the erotic experience.
And Experience works better when u dont start viewing something for too long.After that first visual moment u can start to see it more in your mind and your mind cant produce something as good as the real thing.Like when you have heard a song too many times and u have to wait to fully experience it again.Perception works the same.
Well, at least with porno mags it does ;)
Mainly though , all this damn societal repression relates to Thanatos
