COMMENTS:
If we were talking typical candidates, I'd say it was extreme. But a Bush win ...? I can't honestly fault them.
Lol! That's so funny! I nominate herzog as exterminator for B&W PEST control. Okay, on a serious note now, shouldn't we all be suffering from PEST because, let's be honest here, no matter what one of the two asshole republicrats was going to win? That is the serious scary tragedy.
Those liberals, eh her-blog? Maybe Bush should screen everyone for a mental illness to find out for sure if they're all crazy. Then when he finds out that, yes indeed, they are mad liberal Dukakis hugging moon maidens, he can lock them up in jail and provide them with work, propping up the collapsing American economy.
I think we'd all be better off if these people were deported to canada. It would raise the level of sanity for both countries.
Who would you persuade to do your dirty work, her-blog?
Why not the jews? They seem to be in on a lot of conspiracies.
herzog, this shows you're an ass -- some people suffer from depression, and that shouldn't be ridiculed. I suffer from depression. Plus, how do we know for sure that Kerry lost Florida? There's no paper trail, so we'll never know, and considering Bush has a history of stealing elections...
Counciltucky. Are you taking an SSRI?
CT: if a person suffers depression because their guy didn't win the election, lost by quite a bit actually, then yes he is an idiot and deserves to be mocked. Even more so if you actually pay someone to assist you in being a whiny sore loser.
I'm not an expert on antidepressants -- I'm taking Lexapro. And herzog -- depression isn't something to be mocked. It's a serious disorder and can be triggered by anything (yes, including election results). I'm surprised that, with the depression I suffer, I didn't take the results of the election really hard. I mean, I took it pretty hard -- I was employed by the Democratic Party, and I worked hard to help the Dems win -- and rightly so. But herzog, you research your points -- research depression and tell me what you find. Belittling depression is like belittling cancer.
Funny how depression only seems to manifest in first world nations, and then only among those with the time and money to afford counseling and medication . . .
Don't fuckin' change the subject, herzog. If you researched depression half as much as you stretched truth and logic to defend the Republican party, you'd realize it's a legitimate medical problem.
Of course it's a legit problem. Same as ADD. And like ADD for every 1000 people diagnosed and treated for it there is perhaps one who actually needed it.
You've also no doubt noticed at this point that there is no analagous group for conservatives. Why is that? Conservatives are the ones who live in fear all the time, at least that's what the dems say. And they've lost plenty of elections, and have plenty of animosity for democrats. Perhaps democrats just don't tend to be as mentally stable as other people.
^^^I will ignore this comment and address the one before it. I have to disagree with the one in every 1000 people analogy -- yes, there are some people who overdramatize and don't actually have mental problems. However, there are several people who go undiagnosed who could use antidepressants.
Lexapro is an SSRI, Counciltucky. Basically, your body maintains its own level of Serotonin. Fuck about with it and you will pay for it. Your body knows more than you do about how much serotonin to produce. SSRI's are known to make some users actually feel more depresssed, even suicidal in some cases. Please stop it, man. Human beings are going to experience depression, but you have to get over it on your own. Then you can grow. Come on. You know it makes sense.
My body does know more than I do -- but so do doctors. The problem is, in terms of the human brain, we still only have a primitive knowledge of how the brain works. It's all guesswork.
All in all, I think this would be more appropriate for likely former Howard Dean supporters.
