I'm a member of the NRA and I voted for Kerry. Surprised? Don't be. The feel-good so-called "semiautomatic assault weapon ban" could not have been repealed unless Democrats supported that position. I don't have to hate or fear guns just because I'm a democrat.
By the way... you say they held a pro-gun rally. Umm, what do you expect a gun group to do? Just because a criminal (whether child or adult) uses a gun to kill (or attempt to kill) a bunch of people doesn't mean a group of gun supporters are going to change their worldview and adopt a philosophy that would put even more guns in the hands of criminals. Educate yourself before speaking out. The only beef I've got with the NRA is they think GW is a good president. But I'm not about to cancel my membership. They support safe gun ettiquette and I would be surprised if anyone bad-mouthing them has done any research into the organization and what it actually stands for. Education is the key to crime prevention, not illegal gun stealing from educated gun owners.
I’m not saying all of the nra are bastards but anyone who went to the pro gun meeting in Columbine after that horrible school shooting is an insensitive asshole, so is the stupid leader whatever his name is. You don’t have to be “educated” to know they could have postponed the meeting or held it somewhere else everyone in Columbine wanted them to go.
