It's getting to be that way. At least we can still express ourselves in forums like this - let's hope that doesn't change.

The US government havent shut off access to international sites... yet.
I see both parties as wrapping themselves in labels and then governing in ways that seek to preserve their power/ office.
LOL, no not even close. With a democratic system, the person in office will get cycled out. W. is a total a*swipe, but not a Dictator. If anything, his type of governing style is going to push the nation more liberal and I think after he leaves office, we'll see a Democrat as President for at least 8 years after (if not 12 or 16!)
It seems that all public servants are only interested in serving themselves nowadays.
Yeah Savage is right America is under a one party system.America hasn't had a real statesman since FDR, and still FDR wasn't the greatest president.I fear that the only thing that will stop this two party system is an extreme right wing party similar to the National Socialist.
It's a two party system and fundamentally, Dems and Republicans are kind of on opposite ends of the spectrum. Both parties needs to be more middle grounded; the problem is, they pander to get votes, and therefore, come across as unpredictable. They pander because for the past 25 years, political pundits become advisors to candidates and they get the candidate all paranoid about polls, the numbers, public sentiment, etc. The American people must be more clear and sure of what they want and the candidates need to stop listening to the polical party hacks, and need to reach out and listen to the people.
We live in a democracy, and the fact that george w. bush, the guy who got the most votes, won is clear proof that we are sliding into tyranny. Yep, that makes perfect sense. And like in all tyrannies we are free to express our hatred of the government publicly, as well as own firearms and vote for the opposition.
You're so clever, her-blog. How come you aren't on the television, sucking the shit from Rumsfeld's arsehole?
Not quite.But getting there.
