choices : NOT FRENCH ENOUGH FOR FRANCE? (Problem is, they were the half that WERE working.) Whatever, here goes again. About a month ago, I read a story on Yahoo! News, about a new movie that's been released, called "The Very Long Engagement" (can't remember the French title, sorry). This movie was made in France, with a French cast and crew by a French director, but it's being denied the right to stand for any French film awards, because the French government organization that decides on such things says, as my header suggested, that the movie was "not French enough", because the movie was released by 20th Century Fox first. But I have to wonder- is this a half-valid point, or is this just a case of the French hating America so much that they're willing to cut off their own noses to spite their faces?
