No, but it sure makes it more difficult.
Tha banks love war.
Wars are generally bad for the average person (economically speaking) because there is greater contention for more scarse recources ... and there is no measurable productivity to a war effort "production" (i.e., nothing is actually made or sold for profit).
That beiong said, certain factions make out like the bandits they are, during times of war.

The economy usually isn't good during war times and reason is because the government starts spending more money on war than anything else. Another thing that becomes a problem is overspending and inflation. Even though war might be good for the banking business, it certaintly isn't good for anything else.
What is good for the banks is usually bad for the people.
well look at america in ww2 it took them rite out of the depression
