Tweety is a boy. Tom and Jerry,Bugs and Daffy,Fred And Barney,Abbott and Costello, Laurel and Hardy, Martin and Lewis. Most of the cartoons of the time emulated real life comedy duos. ie Sylvester and Tweety both Male.
