COMMENTS:
No. That's an easy (and somewhat trite) way to condemn war, but it's just not logically sound.
Yes they should be like Nepolian or Ceasar who actually leads his troops into battle.

Be a nice thought...
Who'd be able to make them. Nobody even care s that Bush has now stolen two elections and the so-called opposition comes from the same sexually perverted secret society. Power flows from the elite that own everything rather than the people. Democracy is a fantasy that the deluded indulge in when they cast their inconsequential vote.
It's unrealistic to think that the politicians themselves would fight. Most are old men after all. But it would be nice if those who are quick to take us to war had themselves actually served (preferably in combat) in some capacity in the past. John McCain (f-in hero!), Al Gore, John Kerry (don't give me a bunch of s--t about what he did after the war, cause he WENT to Vietnam; unless you did so as well, I don't give a s--t about your opinion on his post-service war-protesting), George Bush Senior, Jimmy Carter (did you know that, other than Eisenhower, no President of the 20th century spent more time in uniform than Carter did?), Bob Dole, etc...
